Description of Pago De Carraovejas
Pago de Carraovejas was born in the Ribera del Duero, specifically in the town of Peñafiel. It is produced by the Pago de Carraovejas winery, one of the most popular wineries of the moment. This crianza wine is made from 93% Tinto Fino (Tempranillo), 4% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Merlot. The Pago de Carraovejas winery has been characterised for breaking away from the trend of standardising wines according to their ageing time, achieving great wines that, regardless of their ageing time, can compete with the 'greats' on the market. The blend of Tinto Fino (Tempranillo), Cabernet sauvignon and Merlot combined with its short ageing gives it the qualities of a wine that is expressive, open, powerful and delicate at the same time. A delightful accompaniment to red meats, duck or a good cured cheese.
