Notas del Viñedo

Ecological vineyard, with denomination of protected origin -DOP-, occupies an area of 53 hectares of Garnacha, Tempranillo, Cabernet-Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah and Chardonnay. The location, around the cellar, allows the grape to start The process of processing immediately after being harvested. The calcareous clay composition of the soil allows to store the sparse spring water to supply the vine throughout its cycle to the vintage. There are slow sprots with delays about 15 days with respect to other areas at the same height. All this provides a vegetative cycle and long and late maturation.

Making notes

Aging between 2 and 4 months in French oak wood barrels.

Climatología

The summers are very hot, with temperatures around 40 degrees and very dry and cold winters with minimal 10 degrees below zero and strong icy winds from the north. In the summer season thermal oscillations of more than 20 degrees between day and night. This is the reason why the vintage is nocturnal, in order to preserve intact the characteristics of the grape.
