Pioneering winery with the most cutting-edge technology in the wine sector

Gramona is one of the most renowned wineries in the world of cava, with a long tradition dating back to 1850. Located in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, its wines express all the elegance and identity of a markedly Mediterranean terroir and are defined by the excellence of long ageing in the bottle, the common denominator for the world's greatest sparkling wines.

Gramona also enjoys a great reputation for its still wines, especially its whites: wines of great personality and value such as its Gessamí or Mas Escorpí, its new range of xarel-los, its Moustillant sparkling wines and in a very particular way its exquisite and avant-garde Vi de Glass, two sweet wines created in the image of the famous German Eiseweine.

Gramona has more than 150 hectares of its own and/or controlled vineyards, including, in addition to La Plana, other plots of great value: Mas Escorpí, El Serralet, Font Jui and La Solana. In them they work, from the precepts of agrology, a discipline that includes the principles of ecological, biological and biodynamic agriculture, the white varieties xarel-lo, macabeo and chardonnay, mainly, and the red pinot noir.

Today it is the fifth generation, Jaume and Xavier Gramona, who run the winery, adding to the long family tradition a solid enological and business training (respectively). Together with them, a team of more than 50 people, including farmers, biologists, agronomists, oenologists, sommeliers and other workers are in charge of consolidating the inherited legacy day after day; and they do it in a new winery, built among vineyards, equipped with the most modern technology and inaugurated in 2001, which is an example of sustainability due to its bioclimatic architecture and its integration into the landscape.
