Cathedral-like wineries, with high ceilings, thick walls, large windows and immaculate terracotta floors that maintain a stable temperature and humidity to favour the special microclimate that Jerez wines need.
Lustau is the only winery that makes wines in the three cities of the Marco: Jerez de la Frontera, El Puerto de Santa María and Sanlúcar de Barrameda.
The vineyards receive around 3,000 hours of sunshine each year, accompanied by relatively high rainfall (600 litres per square metre on average per year). The landscape of the area is mostly made up of hills of very white limestone soil, known as "albariza". Its uniqueness is due to the fact that this area was under the sea thousands of years ago.
All this together with a great team of master coopers, master blenders, oenologists and field team add to its 120 years of experience a unique know-how in the area.
Description of Lustau East India CreamWith this Cream Solera East India, Lustau recovers an old tradition, that of the mixture that the boots moored to the deck of the ships that left for the Indies treasured, developing an extraordinary smoothness and complexity. It is, in fact, a combination of the best Oloroso and a small percentage of Pedro Ximénez.A smooth and fine wine, with hints of raisins and dried fruit, which accompanies creamy desserts and cured cheeses.
