Viñas del Vero

Viñas del Vero owes its name to a river in the Somontano region, the Vero River, famous for its ravines, gorges and canyons.

With vineyards of the traditional varieties of the region (Tempranillo, Moristel, Garnacha and Macabeo), together with others of different origins (Chardonnay, Gewürztraminer, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Pinot Noir) they produce wines that entered the market in 1990.

Currently, Viñas de Vero is the leading winery in the Somontano appellation in terms of production volume and quality.

Notas del Viñedo

The vineyards in which this vineyards of Vero Tinto Oak are elaborated are the so-called Pueyed and Herminio, located in the vicinity of the Vero River. They were planted between 1992 and 2001 on Franco-clayed soil and their altitude is between 375 and 525 meters. The guidance of the vineyard is north-south.

Making notes

The difference between the vintages of the Merlot vineyards and those of Cabernet Sauvignon was six weeks. In both cases, the oenologists climatology and patience encouraged a perfect degree of maturity of the fruit.
