Viñas del Vero

Viñas del Vero owes its name to a river in the Somontano region, the Vero River, famous for its ravines, gorges and canyons.

With vineyards of the traditional varieties of the region (Tempranillo, Moristel, Garnacha and Macabeo), together with others of different origins (Chardonnay, Gewürztraminer, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Pinot Noir) they produce wines that entered the market in 1990.

Currently, Viñas de Vero is the leading winery in the Somontano appellation in terms of production volume and quality.

Tasting notes

Look

In the visual phase it gives us a yellow color of medium intensity, with brightness and green iridescence.

Smell

The nose shows clean and intense ripe fruit of the tropics: pineapple, banana, mango and guava.

Taste

The entrance is very nice and expressive. It is a tasty wine, dense, structured, round, enveloping and long, reflecting the roots of our land and Chardonnay fruit of its long history.

Description of Viñas del Vero Chardonnay

Viñas del Vero Chardonnay is a single-variety Chardonnay made by the Viñas del Vero winery near the capital of Huesca. It is part of the winery's traditional collection, so this wine is produced near the Vera River. The proximity to the source of water and the different characteristics of the land mean that very expressive wines are produced, with a remarkable aromatic intensity and softness on the palate. A magnificent option to pair with fish and rices.

Making notes Viñas del Vero Chardonnay

Notas del Viñedo

The vineyards used to make the vineyards of Vero Chardonnay are located on a hillside with an average height of 400 meters above sea level and with a north-south orientation. The different clones of Chardonnay that Vero Viñas planted almost a quarter of a century ago rapidly grew with a high amount of foliage supported by modern lattices that trap sunlight for leaves and at the same time protects cluster to protect their delicate aromas. The floors are francs with little fertility, so the vineyards should dig to find the nutrients in the lower parts of the substrate.
