In the Salnés subzone, facing the Arosa estuary, Mar de Frades has been producing exclusively Galician white wines and spirits since 1987. Albariños and Godellos, sparkling wines, all of them distil the essence of Galician wines and are a guarantee of success at any table.

Tasting notes

Look

Straw yellow color and lemon steely glare.

Smell

That oozes elegance begins at the nose where notes of lychee and passion fruit intermingle with scents of tuberose and gardenia.

Taste

To the palate it is tasty. Its moderate acidity gives it a structure that gives character, with flavors of apple, pear and delicate hints of hazelnut, cashew nuts and filled with saline aftertaste nuances.

Mar de Frades Godello, "is born from the illusion to discover, to know other Galician varieties and to study influence of the sea in different strains. The Galician winery Mar de Frades, belonging to Zamora Company, expands its range of wines with Mar de Frades Godello. This is a wine made 100% with the Godello variety grown in the Salnés Valley, with a markedly saline and Atlantic character, and which represents the essence of a new style in the Rías Baixas D. O. This white wine is the result of the search for excellence driven by the winery's oenologist, Paula Fandiño, in her constant quest to discover new oenological horizons.

Making notes

After a vintage manual in our vineyards, only those slumb and aromatic bunches go directly into the press, without macerations and without snacking. The showing light and expressive flower ferment in stainless steel with its own yeasts. Finished fermentation, intense and aromatic wine, remains on its fine lees. The aging on LIES is carried out for months in deposits, only 6% of the wine was raised on lees in French oak for 2 months. The assembly was done just before your bottling for a later break in a cellar for 5 months.
