Red intense, clean and bright cherry. High color intensity.

Smell

From high to very high intensity red and black fruit, forest. They appreciate very interesting spicy aromas of roasted and earthy, slightly balsamic and floral, violet background. Toasted oak. Complex and interesting.

Produced entirely with the foreign breed Syrah, this red is a single plot wine, which gives a good account of the great quality of the terroir of Matasnos Forest. Abundant black and red fruit is present, both in the nose and in the mouth, to give us a monovarietal goosy and long.

Vineyards at an altitude of 950 meters above sea level. Area of 32 hectares in total of its own vineyard. A part corresponds to old vineyard planted in 1960 and another to young vineyards planted in 2007. Soil rich in depth limos and clays.

Making notes

Low platform yield, it is harvested in boxes of 12 kilos and transported in cold to cellar where it remains all night to abate temperature. It is selected the next day in double tape, cluster and grain grain, is fermented at low temperature with selected yeasts in the Matasos forest. Malolactic in new American oak barrels of 225 liters and upbringing in 500-liter close-up barrels, previously shipped by Blanco de Matasos.
