Valenciso

VALENCISO was born in 1998 with the union of the surnames of Luis Valentín and Carmen Enciso, and so they began to produce a unique wine in a winery in La Rioja Alta. With the know-how and international vision acquired after 15 years of shared work in the management of a prestigious winery in the Rioja Alavesa.

The vineyards are located in La Rioja Alta, in Ollauri, Briones, Haro, Rodezno, Gimileo, Zarratón and Villalba. All are at altitude, between 480 and 610 metres, in clay-limestone soil that favours the acidity and finesse of the northern Tempranillo.

The grapes are harvested by hand in order to make the best selection of grapes in the vineyard. In addition, the old vines deserve the delicate care in harvesting that is only possible by hand.
