Anayón

Introduction

Anayón represents the most select and signature range of Grandes Vinos y Viñedos, one of the historic wineries of the D.O.P. Cariñena (Aragón). Under this name, limited-production wines are crafted to showcase the most ambitious, modern and expressive side of the Campo de Cariñena, working with specific vineyard parcels and carefully selected varieties with a clearly premium approach.

Anayón is not an independent winery as such, but rather the high-end line of the Grandes Vinos group, created to produce single-parcel wines with greater complexity, carefully managed aging and a strong varietal identity.

History and Background

Grandes Vinos y Viñedos was founded in 1997 as the result of the union of several historic cooperatives from Cariñena, although the viticultural tradition of its members dates back to previous generations.

The creation of the Anayón range reflects the desire to demonstrate that Cariñena can produce high-quality, elegant wines with international appeal, moving away from the old image of rustic wines and focusing instead on:

• Rigorous vineyard selection

• Low yields

• Parcel-by-parcel viticulture

• Precise and controlled aging
