Sommos Colección Gewürztraminer is a white wine produced by the well-known SOMMOS winery in Barbastro (Huesca). This is a white wine with Somontano Denominación de Orgien and a 4-month aging in a selection of new French barrels with a low toast character. Sommos Gewürztaminer Collection is presented in a bottle of high cut and pairs perfectly with lasagna or white fish.

Notas del Viñedo

Vineyard planted on the breath with a simple cord structure and dripping. The limitation of the soil conditions the average vigor of the vineyard, which is working with a canopy of 1.5m favoring the hat of the clusters to protect them from the sun. Soft frank texture hillside with high content in limos. Presence of salts and abundant Yesos.

Making notes

Night vintage. Reductive vinification by gravity. A 6-hour movie maceration is performed in the pneumatic press. The defange is static and fermentation develops in cement tanks at a tª between 14th and 16ºC. Bred for 4 months in a selection of new French toast barrels.
