Matsu

The Toro area has two ingredients that have always attracted the attention of Vintae's technical team. On the one hand, it is an area where there is a tradition of not interfering too much in the vineyard, and on the other hand, there are old vineyards of extraordinary quality.

Raúl Acha belongs to the most recent generation of a family that has been linked to the world of wine for more than two centuries. 

For the last 10 years he has been Technical Director of Vintae, a company where he has spent practically his entire career, and where he has launched projects in nine different designations of origin in Spain, always looking for the best vineyards in order to capture all their potential in unique and innovative projects, in wines that reflect the personality of each area.

  Perfect balance between youth and maturity.Recio combines the power of youth and the experience of old age to express its serenity, perseverance and strength. It is a full-bodied wine but of great finesse, obtained through biodynamic viticulture and aged in barrels for slightly longer than a year. It surprises with the combination of the typical power of Toro wines and a smoothness on the palate that makes it a special red.

Selection of vineyards of up to 90 years with limited production, settled in poor and cultivated terrain naturally with biodynamic techniques

Making notes

Maceration for 14 days. Spontaneous fermentation endways of concrete of 15,000 kg. Malolactic fermentation is carried out in these same deposits. Wine without filtering and non-aggressive clarification. 14-month aging in French and east oak barrels of second use.

Climatología

Reduced production by the strong summer drought, although of high quality grape, with good balance between acidity and alcohol graduation. The Vintage came forward with previous years. The wines were lighter, round and with good entrance in the mouth.
