Macán Clásico is a red wine produced in La Rioja by the Vega Sicilia winery, one of the most important international wineries. Made only from Tempranillo grapes, Macán Clásico is aged for 15 months in French oak barrels, both new and semi-new. Macán Clásico is the little brother of Macán, another wine made by the same winery. It is a wine with a great identity, a version of a great Tempranillo from La Rioja with the structure and elegance iconic of Vega Sicilia wines that works perfectly with big game or roasts.

Vineyards located in San Vicente de la Sonsierra and Labastida (La Rioja), at 550 meters of altitude. The average age is 40 years.

Making notes

It was carried out in boxes of 12 kilograms. Malolactic fermentation is performed at 30% in barrel and the rest in deposit. 12 months in fine grain French barrel.
