Marisa Cuomo

The Marisa Cuomo Winery is located in the heart of the Amalfi Coast, in the southern Italian region of Campania. An exceptional terroir combining Mediterranean influences and a rugged, rocky terrain.

It produces honest, flavoursome wines with a lot of personality. The whites in particular are of the highest quality, made from such attractive varieties as Falanghina and Ripoli and using traditional methods such as Pergola to guide the vines.

This fantastic Italian winery is located on the edge of the Mediterranean, in a marvellous, rugged spot just a few kilometres from the Vesuvius volcano, overlooking the Furore Fjord.

Since 1980, when the winery passed into Marisa's hands, the highest quality standards have been applied, together with the production of wines "by parcels". The small production of a few thousand bottles, each one with its own distinct personality, has been a priority.

The saline character of the wines can be glimpsed in their wines, given by their proximity to the sea and the rock surrounding the vineyards. All of them are elaborated with autochthonous varieties and respecting traditional methods such as the planting in Pergola for their Bianco wines.

The reds have that freshness and minerality typical of island wines and the whites will make you fall in love with their richness and distinction.

Among all their wines we highlight the "Fiorduva", an extreme wine made with almost forgotten varieties such as Fenile, Ginestra or Ripoli. The plantations are located in small plots between rocks, on limestone and dolomitic soils. With ridiculous yields of little more than 1kg of grapes per plant, it is a deep and dense wine, with an enchanting perfume, which has become the most famous and sought after wine of the winery.

Quality and typicity raised to the highest level.
