Dominio de Longaz

A model oenological project

Dominio de Longaz is a winery located in the protected designation of origin Cariñena, very close to Zaragoza, in the region of Aragón. The aim of this winery is to produce unique wines with their own personality, fusing tradition and experience with the most advanced technologies.

The winemaking hall has a capacity of more than 700,000 litres where different vinification techniques are applied to each of the wines. The vineyard of this winery has 70 hectares of vineyards, in a single plot located next to the winery, in the area of La Pardina. These vineyards are located at the foot of the Sierra de Algairén, at an altitude of 550 metres, the soil is made up of clay and very stony, called "cascajo" in this area. These are soils that retain moisture and, in addition, due to their large amount of stone, are ideal for the ripening of the grapes.

The main grape variety is Garnacha, followed by Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlort and Tempranillo. The climate is continental, with extreme contrasts in temperature and low rainfall.
