Belondrade y Lurton

Inspired by 4 passions: a pias, a climate, a terroir and a variety.

The BELONDRADE winery was founded in 1994 by Didier Belondrade with a French concept of "Vin de chateau", wines that express the language of the terroir from which they come, made only with organic grapes from the Quinta San Diego estate.

The BELONDRADE vineyard is located at an altitude of 750 metres above sea level, just a few kilometres from the Duero River as it passes through Tordesillas. The climate is continental with low rainfall (between 300 and 350 mm per year), characterised by long, cold winters and short, hot summers, with a wide temperature range between day and night.

BELONDRADE has 40 hectares of its own vineyards divided into 23 plots of different sizes. This mosaic of vines provides very different musts depending on the type of soil of each plot, its orientation, age, rootstock and clones.

BELONDRADE practices organic viticulture in which neither herbicides nor pesticides are applied. This encourages biodiversity in the vineyard and brings us closer to the most natural and authentic expression of the "terroir". The winery's primary objective is to obtain high quality grapes that reflect the essence of each plot.
