Ayles

The first Pago de Aylés wine in Aragón

The Pago de Aylés project began in 1994 with the purchase of the estate by its current owner, the Ramón family.

The winery has a marked Aragonese and Mudejar architectural style and was inaugurated in 2000. Aylés has more than 500 barrels, mostly French oak. It is one of the 3 largest private historic estates in Aragon, with more than 3,100 hectares of land.

Located just 35 kilometres south of the city of Zaragoza, the estate stands as an impressive landscape full of contrasts that crosses the river Huerva, which draws spectacular ravines in front of the unalterable presence of the San Pablo mountain. Clayey, limestone and calcareous soils make up the more than 3,000 hectares of perimeter land of the estate.

In October 2010 they received official recognition as Vino de Pago, becoming the first Vino de Pago wine in Aragón and one of the few to have this exclusive Denomination of Origin in Spain, the highest level of quality that any Spanish winery can achieve.
