Description of Quinta de Tarsus Crianza
Tarsus Roble is a red wine produced by the Tarsus winery in the D. O. Ribera del Duero. This winery is part of the Pernod Ricard Wineries group. The winery, of French "Chateau" style, is located in the municipality of Anguix, Burgos. The winery's wines, which are highly concentrated and aromatic, are made by the oenologist Teresa Rodríguez, who states, "With Quinta de Tarsus I have set out to make a wine with an affirmed personality that will easily reach everyone, in which the fruit is very present and the wood always accompanies, being alive in all its phases. With a floral aroma, it is an elegant, fruity and tannic wine". In addition, the name Tarsus comes from the term Tarsus, an ancient city in the region of Cilicia (Turkey) that is considered one of the first cities where wine was grown and produced.
