Description of Marques de Vargas Reserva
For the elaboration of
Marqués de Vargas Reserva, a
careful selection and manual harvesting of the grapes were carried out, coming from 50 hectares of the estate's own vineyard, which was planted by the family that holds the Marquisate
already in 1840. The harvest is carried out by micro-plots, of which 34 are identified, and they are vinified separately in order to obtain the greatest possible expression from our vineyard. The wine is then
aged for 18 months in French, Russian and American oak barrels, followed by long time in the bottle until it reaches its optimum moment of consumption. The result is a
wine with
character,
elegance and personality, with capacity of keeping the great wines of
Rioja.
