San Alejandro

A project that began with the enthusiasm and effort of a group of restless winegrowers who decided to put their land, their vineyards and their wine to good use.

Today this dream has become the benchmark winery of the D.O. Calatayud and the world of Garnacha.

Dark purple tones, reflecting the high concentration of grapes from old vines


Ripe fruit with pleasant notes of plum and fig, along with subtle memories of coffee and cocoa.


Large volume and persistence. It combines high natural acidity with fine-grained tannins and pronounced fruity aromas. A delicate, warm and long finish shows the character of the Mediterranean Garnacha.

  Evodia means perfume. Ripe fruit with pleasant notes of plum and fig, along with subtle hints of coffee and cocoa. High volume and persistence on the palate. Evodia Pizarras Antiguas is born from the selection of some of the places (Olmares, Rayo, Trebago and Valtriguera), aged 12 months in barrels to obtain a warm wine with all the character of the Mediterranean Grenache.

Notas del Viñedo

Vineyard at 900 meters of average altitude, located in the Sierra Santa Cruz, where the floor is clayed with blackboard as a mother rock. Old Garnacha vineyard of scarce production, high sun exposure (south-west) and good vegetation that allows delaying vintage dates, without reaching overmature.

Making notes

100% of the grape despcallated. Fermentation in cement deposits, with little mechanical performance and 2-week post-compartment maceration using the Topping technique to obtain a more balanced extraction and a lower oxidation of the pots. Ring of 12 months in new barrels of a use and two French oak uses of different origins.
