Description of Izadi Crianza

Izadi Crianza is the standard of Wineries Izadi. A modern and accessible Rioja crianza, with focus on ripe fruit and balanced ageing. Izadi symbolises the geographical triangle from which the grapes from which this wine is born come, between Villanueva, Samaniego and Abalos. The wine is a single-variety of Tempranillo, 100% de-stemmed and aged for 14 months in a blend of American and French oak barrels. On the nose it is a modern Rioja, full of red and black fruit, with balsamic and liquorice notes and a background of toast and smoke from its ageing. On the palate it is elegant and balanced and works very well with grilled red meat.
