Pago de Carraovejas
At the end of the 1980s Jose Maria Ruiz realised his dream of creating a winery to produce wines in the heart of the Ribera del Duero. On the slopes of Carraovejas next to the Castillo de Peñafiel, what was then a modest winery was born and in 1991, its first vintage, it harvested just 70,000 kg of wine....
Description of Pago De Carraovejas La Cuesta De Las LiebresElaborated only in unique vintages. Pago de Carraovejas viticulture takes on the challenge of nature. A radical wine, with roots. Elegant, powerful and very persistent. An authentic wine. Cuesta de las Liebres defines the virtues of this steep slope and extreme viticulture. The vineyard is guided in a vertical goblet, surrounded by the scrubland. At Pago de Carraovejas they wanted to emphasize the complexity and strength of this wine with which they feel that, year after year, they are reaching new heights of commitment to nature, our land and its history. Their most precise and pure vineyard.
