Situated in San Vicente, in the heart of the Rioja Alta region

San Vicente de la Sonsierra is in a privileged location for the cultivation of vines. A region located under the Cantabria and Toloño mountains, which protect it from the cold Cantabrian winds, and with the Ebro river to the south to provide the humidity it needs.

This region is home to the best old Tempranillo vineyards in La Rioja Alta. These are goblet-trained vineyards grown in very poor soils, which significantly reduces their production and increases the quality of the clusters.

Bodega Hacienda López de Haro has a network of trusted small vine growers. The quality of its vineyards, the love for our land and the feeling of belonging to a common project.

Smell

Intense and surprisingly frank aroma of fruits of the forest, licorice, underbrush, hints of spice and chocolate.

Taste

Full with great balance, broad but thin and cool the same time, appearing again full of fruit and oak notes in the aftertaste.

Making notes

Spontaneous fermentation with typical yeasts in stainless steel deposits of 20,000 kg, controlled temperature lower than 26 ° C for 2 weeks of maceration. 14-month raising in new and used French oak barrels of Eastern and American oak.

Climatología

Add climatologically very balanced: relatively cold winter, spring with fresh temperatures, and dry and long summer, of moderate temperatures that entailed perfect bonding. Very good results both in quality and quantity.
