Descripción de Terrazas De Los Andes Single VineyardDescription of Terrazas De Los Andes Single Vineyard

Coming from a 90 years old vineyard, this Malbec from Terrazas de los Andes has conquered us by its structure and tasty journey in the mouth. It comes from one of the most special vineyards of Luján de Cuyo, called Las Compuertas, located at 1,067 meters of altitude. A plot that due to its characteristics, delivers a high quality Malbec, with velvety tannins and a sweet and fresh red profile. A wine that is not made every year, only those in which the quality of the grapes is exceptional.

Notas del Viñedo

Frank foot vineyard located in the northern region of Mendoza, specifically in Luján de Cuyo, at a height of 1,067 meters above sea level. Deep floors of up to 1.8 meters deep. A part of the vineyard is located on a rocky area.

Making notes

Aging is carried out mainly in French oak barrels of first use and lasts between 14 to 16 months. Transieved newspaper of wine in barrels to achieve clarity and brightness without the need for filtration.

Climatología

Cold and dry, with mountain breezes. The vintage was very atypical. A hot spring was followed by a very warm summer, particularly during the months of December and January. There was a drastic decline in temperatures between February and May and rainfall during the second week of April.
